Black Filly Farm is dedicated to the breeding of fine KWPN (Royal Dutch Warmblood) dressage horses and jumpers. Our foundation mares have been selected for their bloodlines, performance records, health and temperaments. We select only the finest sires both in the United States and Europe after seeing them and their progeny compete, and inspecting their foals both here and abroad.
Our foals are born here on our Hudson Valley farm, in the foothills of the Berkshires. We keep them with their dams for six months, and then turn them out in protected paddocks to "be horses" until they are ready to go to work at the age of three. All of our young horses, jumpers and dressage horses alike, start work in a dressage ring under a dressage trainer before entering the show ring.
Please visit us. We are located 2 hours north of New York City, and 2 hours west of Boston. Hartford, Albany and Newburgh are our local airports, and we also use Newark for international flights. Tot Ziens!
