DIRECTIONS TO BLACK FILLY FARM
From New York City: take the Taconic State Parkway north to the "Route 44 - Poughkeepsie/Millbrook" exit, and exit right (east) off the ramp onto Route 44. Go approximately 3 miles and make a left onto Route 44A. At the stop sign proceed straight onto Route 44. Go approximately 6 miles (you will pass Dutchess Co. Rts. 57 and 86) and make a left onto Dutchess Co. Rt. 83 - Smithfield Valley Road. At the "Y" take Dutchess Co. Rt. 5 north. Go about 5 miles, and after a hard right turn, make a left onto Charlie Hill Road. Black Filly Farm will be on the left one mile down Charlie Hill Road; look for the large gray barn.
From Boston: take the Mass. Pike (Interstate 90) to the end. After exiting the tolls take exit "B3" (Rt. 22) south in the direction of Austerlitz. Stay on Rt. 22 through Columbia County and into Dutchess County. About three miles after the stop light in Millerton, make a right onto Dutchess Co. Rt. 64 (McGhee Hill Road.) Follow McGhee Hill Road to the top, and stay to the right at the "T." Pass the sheep farm, and make a left onto Charlie Hill Road. Black Filly Farm will be on the right one mile down the road; look for the large gray barn.
From New Jersey and Pennsylvania: take Interstate 287 north to the intersection of Interstate 87 (New York Thruway.) Take the NYT north in the direction of Albany and Montreal. Pass through the tolls, and exit at Interstate 84 - Newburgh (exit 17.) Stay on Interstate 84 east and pass over the Hudson River on the Newburgh-Beacon bridge. Go about 10 miles and exit at the Taconic State Parkway north (direction Albany.) Exit at Rt. 44, the "Poughkeepsie/Millbrook" exit, and exit right off the ramp onto Rt. 44 east. Follow the directions given above "From New York City."
From Albany and North: from Interstates 87 and 88, take Interstate 90 east (exit 21A from I 87) and cross the Hudson River on I 90 into Rensselaer County. At I 90 exit B2, take the Taconic State Parkway south (direction New York City.) Follow the TSP for approximately 30 miles into Columbia and Dutchess Counties, and take the exit for Rt. 199 (Red Hook/Milan.) Make a left off the exit, taking Rt. 199 east. Pass through the town of Pine Plains. Follow Rt. 199 to the end, and make a right onto Rt. 22 south. Look immediately for Dutchess Co. Rt. 64 (McGhee Hill Road) on your right, and turn right up the hill. Pass the sheep farm at the top of the hill, and make a left turn onto Charlie Hill Road. Black Filly Farm will be on the right about one mile down the road. Look for the large gray barn.
