The Hessen stallion Freestyle is approved in both Oldenburg and Westfalia. He was the overall winner of his 100 day performance test in 1999 at Prussendorf, with high scores in gaits and character. He even excelled in the jumping phase, receiving an "8" for jumping ability. His sire Florestan I was Champion of his stallion approval in 1988 in Rheinland, and also was placed first in his stallion performance test in 1989 in Warendorf. He is the sire of 23 approved sons and 37 state premium mares. This bloodline has become highly desirable among European dressage breeders, and we are fortunate in the United States to have the Florestan I son Freestyle here for a few years on lease from his owners Team Nijhof.

Freestyle's damline is legendary in Hesse and Westfalia. His dam Paloma and her four sisters received the award "Best Family of Hesse" for four years in a row, and dominated "Best Mare" awards in the late 1990's. Freestyle's damline shows four state premium mares, back to his great-great-grandmother.

Guenther Seidel has called Freestyle "the best six year old dressage horse in the United States."

The dam Onilia's sire Olympic Ferro is the pre-eminent dressage sire in Holland, and one of only a handful of extraordinary dressage sires still competing. He represented Holland in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney (silver medal,) and is also representing Holland at the World Equestrian Games in Spain in the fall of 2002.

Vienna inherited both her sire's and damsire's color and beauty. She is blessed with three superior gaits and an excellent temperament, perhaps the best of any foal we have bred. Although an auxiliary foalbook filly, she will be eligible for KWPN studbook status at her inspection. Vienna has been under saddle for almost one year, and has matured to 16' 3". She is an easy and willing worker, and scored 67% at her first show at Training Level 2. Vienna is priced in Category C.
